STEM PROGRAM Recognition AWARDS

2016 Finger Lakes Region Exemplary STEM Initiatives

The Finger Lakes Regional STEM Hub is seeking to recognize exemplary K-12 programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. These programs will be highlighted to inspire others in the education field to incorporate STEM at any level!

Applicants must self-select what organizational level they wish to be recognized for and also identify one or more of the 9 STEM Learning Categories as identified in the NYS STEM Quality Learning Rubric.

Applicants are invited to participate in an optional informational webinar to learn more about the recognition awards and the STEM Quality Learning Rubric in January 2016. For more information, please email Mary Thomas.

Programs honored with the STEM Program Recognition Award will be honored at Science Exploration Days being held at St. John Fisher College on Friday, May 13, 2016. Programs will also be featured on the Finger Lakes STEM Hub website and newsletter. Each program will be profiled on THE STEM BLOG and featured in a press release to regional media outlets.

Programs being honored with a STEM Program Recognition Award will be asked to create a poster or tabletop display for the recognition event at St. John Fisher College on Friday, May 13, 2016. Please include your school name, program title, age/grade level of participants, photos of your program in action and evidence of accomplished performance.
